This Privacy Statement explains how Gilead handles the information that you provide to Gilead, or that is otherwise collected, via the Website. How does Gilead collect information online?

The Website is mainly intended as a reference resource and has limited fields for You to submit Personal Information. Where data is submitted by you through the Website, for example through the event registration page, we will collect, store and use this information for the purpose for which it has been provided.

In what circumstances and for what purposes might Gilead collect and use Personal Information through the Website?

The Website contains an event registration page and Gilead, and our suppliers, will collect, store and use information you submit through this page for the purposes of managing your attendance at the event you express an interest in

As detailed in the Cookie Policy, Gilead will collect information about how you interact with the Website. Usually this information is unidentified and is limited to maintaining the integrity of, or making improvements to, the Website.

As allowed by applicable local laws, some Gilead websites include the opportunity to send another individual a link to a Gilead webpage. If you choose to use Gilead’s e-mail page feature to send a link to a Gilead page, Gilead will ask you for the recipient’s email address. Gilead will automatically send the recipient a one-time email inviting him or her to read the featured page.

How does Gilead secure Personal Information collected on the Website?

It is Gilead’s practice to secure each Gilead website using commercially reasonable technical, procedural, and administrative safeguards proportional to the sensitivity and volume of data processed, and we require the same standards of the suppliers we engage to work with us. The personal information you provide to us through the website will be stored by Gilead, or its suppliers, on secure (password and firewall protected) servers in an encrypted form. How does Gilead protect the privacy of children on the Website?

Gilead does not knowingly collect or use any Personal Information from children on the Website (“children” are individuals who have not reached the age of majority in their residential jurisdictions).
